Overview
In 2019, Kashmir was cut off. No internet, no lines open, no room for voices to reach out. JKCCS documented this year-long shutdown in a report titled Kashmir’s Internet Siege. Our role was to make sure it didn’t just inform. It had to hit.

Our approach
We turned to constructivism movement, a visual language built for protest and resilience. Bold type, angled compositions, and a black and red palette set the tone. Stippled illustrations added grit. Every page was designed to feel loud, raw, and deliberate.
The Website
The report lived online too, built to work even on 2G. A timeline tracks 300 days of blackout with state control on one side and people’s resistance on the other. It loads slowly by intention, so users feel the drag of that year.
